unSCruz is just around the corner! Can you feel it?

If you’re as excited as we are about this year, here is some vital information to keep in mind:

Tickets and vehicle passes

This is the 10th year for unSCruz, and the momentum just keeps going. We sold out in 2019 and fully expect to sell out this year as well.

Tier 1 tickets sold out in record time this year, and as of this writing, Tier 2 tickets are nearly gone.

Important dates for the remaining tickets:

  • Low income scholarship ticket form will be released January 31, 2020.
  • Tier 2 vehicle passes will be available at midnight, February 1, 2020.
  • Tier 3 tickets and vehicle passes will be released on March 15, 2020

Buy your tickets now while you still have the chance!

Volunteering

unSCruz runs on 100% volunteer power. And we need your help to keep the event running smoothly. Volunteer sign-ups will be open in early February. Please think of how you can contribute to this awesome community: we have volunteer opportunities for every skill-set and interest.

Want to greet folks arriving at the event? Want to share information? Want to help attendees solve problems? Want to work on décor? Want to help transport attendees from the parking lot to the event? Want to help keep the fairgrounds pristine? We’ve got room for you! Check out who puts on unSCruz…

Grants

Art and theme camps are a major part of what make unSCruz so amazing. Do you have a fabulous idea for a way to participate at the event? A special interactive project? A fun game? A gift for your fellow attendees? Let us know if you need help bringing it to the event.

Art grants are due THIS FRIDAY, JANUARY 31. Oh, wait, no they’re not, they’re due on the day of love, because we LOVE your art projects so much. The new deadline is midnight February 14, 2020.

Theme Camp assistance grants (because we also LOVE your theme camps) are due on Leap Day, midnight February 29, 2020, because we’re LEAPing for joy that you’re bringing such an incredible theme camp!

Art Cars

We all love mutant vehicles and art cars, right? RIGHT! If you’re bringing a non-human-powered art car to unSCruz, this year you’ll need to register it prior to the event at our very own Department of Mutant Vehicles. Email DMV if you have any questions about this process. Please register by April Fool’s Day, April 1, 2020.

If you have questions we haven’t answered here, feel free to email us.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at unSCruz 2020!

Theme Camp Open Discussion

We will be hosting an online (Zoom) meeting between the unSCruz Producers, Leads, and Theme Camp Leaders for a ‘town hall’ style meeting. We recognize that sometimes the communication is one-way and we want to give those Leaders a chance to ask questions or share feedback. We want to shed light on confusing topics like:

  • What can HEAT offer?
  • How does a camp get Early Access?
  • Are there Adult camps and what qualifies that?

We will not be addressing Placement topics, you can contact Placement regarding any layout or location questions.

If you are a theme camp leader and free on March 7th 2020 in the evening, please email producer@unscruz.org for more details.

Placement

Last but not least, Placement is STILL OPEN!!! So bring your art, bring your camp, bring your art car, and come play with us! YOU are the folks who bring the magic to this event!
